Down in the dark

During WWII an Underground Headquarters - UGHQ (for operation Overlord) was built beneath Fort Southwick. This provided a bombproof, comprehensive Naval, Army and Air Force Operation Control and Communication Center - call sign 'MIN'.

During February 2012, twenty seven student from Essential Krav Maga descended into the bunker and fought.
This provided comprehensive training in disarming bats, knives and guns. Call sign 'Bunker Rage'

Did you know that by being a member of Essential Krav Maga, you can train at any of our classes for no additional fee!
You also receive a discount on any club course that we organise.
Last year we ran nearly one seminar per month, two of which was on a plane.
Did you know that you can also grade after four months of steady training, and then every six months after that (you don't need a license either).
We also hold social events such as club nights out, BBQs on the beach, and so on and we try to encourage members families to come along as well.

ways to train

Over the last couple of days the weather has changed and a lot of us have had snow. If you have ever had to fight or play in the snow you'll know how difficult it is to move quickly or take your body away from its gravitational centre for risk of landing on your hip, elbow or if your lucky, on your bum. Sometimes you'll fall so quickly that even when trained a break fall won't work.

6.Go through the first set of traffic lights.

The Next Student grading.

The next grading will be with CIT David Stevens on 25th May 2012, higher grades need to up their training to twice a week.

New Bournemouth Venue.

Essential Krav Maga has outgrown it's old venue, so from 23rd January 2012, we will be training at Winton Arts and Media College,Winton Way,Ensbury Park,Bournemouth,Dorset,
BH10 4HT. From 7.30pm to 9pm

Air rage / Anti Hijack Course

Dan and I would like to thank everyone who helped organize the Air rage Course. We had over 110 students and instructors attending the event. It was nice that Essential Krav Maga could host an event that is being talk about round the world, Avi and Amnon were very happy with the day. It was a cold day but great fun to train with Amnon in a plane.
Next time I would like to run an urban event maybe somewhere that we can’t damage!!
How about Battersea power station?
